Richard Sherman, who actually turned his viral fame into an entire career after football. "Kids to catch with their body and not their hand. I'm excited. This is going to be a lot of fun."
As one of the loudest personalities the NFL has ever seen, Richard Sherman received tons of media coverage during his playing days. He was known for his wild interviews and has arguably the craziest in-studio interview ever when he went on First Take in 2013. "I'm talking to you right now. Now, this isn't about any of them. Do you think you're better than Darrelle Revis is right now? I'm better than you because you're not listening."
I mean, I think every sports fan enjoyed watching him roast Skip Bayless on his own show, and that moment would actually foreshadow Sherman's future career. But before that, there's one interview we can't forget.
Of course, we're talking about the 2013 NFC title game. Broken up, picked off, and Sherman had the pass breakup against Michael Crabtree that secured the Seahawks win. And what he said after the game will always be remembered. "Well, I'm the best corner in the game. When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crab, that's the result you're going to get."
So after a decorated 11-year career in the NFL, including three first-team All-Pros, five Pro Bowls, and a Super Bowl title, he retired in 2022. And retirement is where it gets interesting because immediately after hanging up his cleats, Sherman became an analyst on Amazon's Thursday Night Football broadcast.
Then in 2023, he replaced Shannon Sharpe on Undisputed right across from, you guessed it, Skip Bayless. "In fact, I I got to tell you, I like Richard a lot. I'm better than you." Sherman also owns the Seattle bar Legion, voices a docu-series, The League, and continues to appear across NFL Networks as an analyst.
