NFL News & Injury Report
- Alvin Kamara has agreed to a two-year, $24.5 million ($22 million guaranteed) contract extension with the Saints. The renewed contract will provide the team with $18 million under the salary cap for next year.
- Update on two of Tampa's star receivers. Chris Godwin will miss the rest of the season after surgery, and Mike Evans will return, likely after a week of rest for the Buccaneers in Week 11.
- The Browns signed quarterback Bailey Zappe from the Chiefs' practice squad. With injuries to Watson and Thompson-Robinson, the team has only one player left in the lineup, Jameis Winston. He should be in the starting lineup for the next game, and Zappe will be the backup.
- Rams receiver Puka Nacua started practicing for the first time since his knee injury. He has three weeks to return to the starting lineup.
- Arizona Cardinals linebacker Dennis Gardeck suffered a torn cruciate and will miss the rest of the season.
- Chiefs linebacker Jaylen Watson suffered a broken fibula and tibia in his foot. He could theoretically return for the playoffs, but it's unlikely.
- Deebo Samuel has been released from the hospital. It will be known if he will play in the 49ers' next game tonight/tomorrow night.
- Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton was in a car accident with his family - his wife, 3 kids and a dog. All we know from the details is that no one needed to be taken to the hospital by ambulance, but team doctors will examine the quarterback.
